AgileConnect for Marketo



  • You can bring in new records through the prospecting tool. This is the only time the integration will populate standard fields in Marketo. Note: Prospected records that fall outside of your data license will be invoiced at your current license rate, these records will not count towards your managed records.
  • You are able to use demographics associated with the Institution when narrowing criteria for the contact list.
  • You can limit your prospecting list to include only contacts with an email address by checking the “Personnel Email Address Present” box.
  • The search results contain records that are unique to your org (deduped). You can choose to import some of the records, all of the records, or save the search.
  • Searches in prospecting can be saved and rerun, they can also be scheduled to run automatically each week.
Step-by-step Prospecting

  2. Your credentials will be those you entered when you installed AgileConnect.
  3. Prospecting at Building and District are different.
    1. District titles such as superintendent are only found at the district, so prospect district for those titles.
    2. Building titles such as principal or teacher are only found at the building, so prospect building for those titles.
  4. Use whatever criteria you wish to limit the universe to find Prospects.
    1. We typically suggest Title as the best way, followed by Geography (state) and File Type.
    2. You can use the “Personnel Email Address Present” flag when prospecting if you only want contacts with email addresses.
    3. The numbers on the left reflect the records available based on the filters entered.
    4. Once you are finished configuring your criteria click “Submit Search”.
  5. You may build more complicated selection criteria by building multiple selection groups. If you are going to build more complex searches, we strongly suggest building the selection group or groups and then saving the search for later use.
  6. Searches in prospecting can be saved and rerun, they can also be scheduled to run automatically each week. If you choose the option to import the contacts meeting this criteria weekly, upon saving, the records will be imported into your org.
  7. Alternatively or in addition to saving the search, you may select any prospects to copy to Marketo by clicking “Add Selected Records” or you may click “Add ALL Records”. Confirm your selection.
  8. It may take several minutes to a couple of hours for your selected records to be added to your Marketo instance.
  9. We strongly recommend saving and periodically prospecting the titles in your license to find educators we have added to the Agile main database. Alternatively, you can choose to allow the query to run weekly and import contacts automatically.
