School Data and Education Marketing: From Information To Impact
Learn how school data is collected, analyzed, and applied, and how vendors can use it to target the right schools, personalize outreach, and drive impact.
Every new school year brings fresh priorities – and workforce data offers a unique window into how education is changing. Agile’s latest analysis, based on nearly 6.5 million roles nationwide, shows a clear shift in how districts and schools are preparing for the future.
District-level hiring is on the rise across all job categories. The largest gains were in student support, testing and guidance, and special needs services. This signals a deepening commitment to wraparound support – ensuring that students, families, and educators have the resources they need to succeed.
Schools are making different choices. Traditional subject-specific roles – in math, science, social studies, and practical arts – are trending down. At the same time, we see clear investment in vocational-technical programs, multidisciplinary teaching positions, and school leadership. This reflects a strategic move: consolidating traditional teaching roles while strengthening career readiness and operational leadership.
Together, these shifts show an education system in transition. Districts are prioritizing a more holistic support, while schools are evolving to meet student needs beyond the traditional classroom. Both trends point toward a future where education is more integrated, more career-focused, and more responsive to the needs of students.
At Agile, we believe data is the key to understanding where education is headed. Explore our insights to see how schools and districts are adapting – and what that means for the future of learning.
