Agile was proud to exhibit at ISTELive 24 in Denver last week. This year’s event brought together an impressive array of key EdTech leaders and visionaries for an insight-packed program covering today’s most salient topics and trends in the future of learning.
Agile really showed out this year—with over twenty team members attending—to welcome exhibitors and attendees to our home town, kicking the week off with a rooftop happy hour celebration. After the conference wrapped, we asked Agile Director of Strategic Accounts, Tim Ridgway , to share some highlights from his time there.
What are some of the reasons you attend ISTE each year?
To connect with friends/colleagues and meet new people.
Get clearer insights into teachers needs and how the marketplace is helping them address those issues.
Talk with new and experienced exhibitors and their solutions.
What’s one thing you were looking forward to at this year’s conference?
Absolutely the people—from the business side, as well as longtime teacher/administrator friends.
Any favorite memories from this past week?
Soaking up the exhibit hall’s energy. There’s genuine excitement from both sides (exhibitors and attendees), as much as an appreciation for what the other side has brought. Being in a remote work environment, the opportunity to meet with my own team and spend time with them was great! We have an incredibly supportive and knowledgeable team who’s just as willing to go the extra mile for our customers as they are for each other.
Seeing demonstrations of all the new technologies in the exhibit hall was also exciting.
How did engaging with educators and education solution providers at this event impact or change your perspective?
It reinforced my belief that innovation and ingenuity is alive and thriving. For as many advances in technology though, they’re all designed to help people—teachers, administrators, all in the support of students and helping them succeed.
What’s one insight you gained that education companies should know?
Products and services certainly do have their features and benefits, but remembering to share them in a way that clearly answers an educator’s question of how it helps them is crucial.
What’s one thing that education vendors  are optimistic about?
Despite the fluctuating fiscal environment, there’s always a willing partnership with educators and vice versa.
Any closing words?
I love the dynamic business environment of supporting growth and learning for our children. Like anything else that’s worthwhile, there are ups and downs, but hard work and patience that benefits all sides will prevail.
